So why would domain name companies flock to a conference
about web hosting?
The answer is two-fold.
First, web hosting companies are a huge sales force for
domain companies.

need to cozy up with web hosting companies that sell
registrations directly to the best customers: those
developing a web site.
Second, most domain registrars also offer web hosting.
Let's face it, domain name registrations are a low margin
business for domain registrars. It's the hosting services
and other add-ons that make it profitable.

largest domain name registrar and hosting company.
As new top level domains rollout in 2013 I expect even
